Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. Her childhood was spent listening to classic Boleros from the past as well as the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos and any dramatic performance. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, then began more intense training in singing when she was 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. She performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. Following her move into America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current home in the southern part of California. She is a frequent soloist at events, private parties and other occasions and performs the traditional Latin American Music. As a local performer and instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana was a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially for the young generation, for keeping this music in the present.
