MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded a Colombian Kids Choice Award as the most popular Song in 2017. The singer released his first long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It reached the top 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He worked alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and the following year released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on TINI's smash streaming track Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo is from an instrumental background. Both his elder brother and mother are musicians. In interviews, Turizo has declared that music is a must. When he was a kid, he began learning to play the saxophone and ukulele and piano. Although his first career choice was becoming veterinarian but his brother Julian advised him to begin studying singing with an instructor in Cuban. The lessons revolutionized his entire life.
