Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21 in 1983) is an acclaimed American actor. Most notably, she played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV series and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington in Ohio, dropped out high school, and relocating in Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. She was struggling to survive and was offered her first part in the acting world as Rachel's Room's lead character. After earning an Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role as Murder in Greenwich of a 15-year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace went on to take home the award. In 2004 Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost where she was a main actor for the first two seasons, and was awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast. Grace was a co-star alongside Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, decided to make the move to film. She appeared as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken in 2008) on Suburban Girl as well as the Jane Austen Book Club. The same character was played by Grace in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace played Shannon's part on Lost for two additional episodes. This included the finale of the series. She also appeared in the sixth episode of Californication. She portrays Faith she is an admirer and muse to the actors. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. She belongs to the Gyllenhaal family and is the sister to Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began in the teen years with minor roles in several of her father's films and appeared with her brother in the popular cult film Donnie Darko (2001). The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim for her performance as the lead of Secretary (2002) as well as in Sherrybaby (2006), an erotic romance drama drama as well as Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated by her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. The Dark Knight, which came out in 2008 following many highly successful movies, such as World Trade Center (2006) which brought her greater recognition, was a huge success for Gyllenhaal. In recognition of her role as a single mother, in Crazy Heart (2009) she received a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She subsequently starred in the comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). Apart from her character as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she was also seen on screen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). The most recent roles were the protagonist in The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal started her career as director, screenwriter and script writer, when she wrote and directed The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama. The Lost Daughter.
